Sarah was the first TV director and female director to be awarded a Bafta Breakthrough Brit and again chosen for Bafta Elevate. Dedicated to championing stories with female leads she is developing the feature films TE AMO, THE EDINBURGH SEVEN, and the TV series YOUNG BLOOD.
Sarah's range of genre is unique, from the sensitively helmed true stories, I AM ELIZABETH SMART nominated for Best TV Drama and Best Actress - The Critic’s Choice Awards, and THE CRASH (BBC), nominated for Best TV Drama - Bafta, to the action adventure of WARRIOR NUN (Netflix), supernatural love story A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES (Sky/AMC), the quirky romance of DATES (Channel 4) and director/producer of season one of YA drama GET EVEN (BBC/Netflix).
Growing up in a small town in the Midlands with a deep love of The Goonies and Point Break, Sarah began as an indie short filmmaker. After being nominated three years in a row for Best Young Writer and Best Young Director by Broadcast Hot Shots for her debut short films 420 SECONDS OF LOVE, ALMOST STRANGERS and SOUL BOY, Sarah moved onto showrunning BBC teen series THE CUT which ran for three seasons and trended weekly on iPlayer.
